The Brain Gauge: What is it?
The Brain Gauge is a very precise tool that uses tactile touch (from your fingertips) and tests to measure brain health. The underlying principles of the science behind the Brain Gauge is that the nerves in adjacent fingertips project to specific and unique regions of the brain. The Brain Gauge sends gentle vibrations to your fingertips to precisely activate these nerves and areas of the brain. When adjacent regions are activated, they interact with each other in predictable patterns that affect your perception of how the vibrations feel. They then ask you questions about how you interpret the vibrations and based off of your answers, they can learn information about your brain health.
So, what exactly does it measure? It measures 8 essential components of brain health: Speed, Focus, Fatigue, Accuracy, Sequencing, Timing Perception, Plasticity and Connectivity. Then they combine all of the scores to give you a comprehensive mental fitness score that they call your corticalmetric.
Your brain is very sensitive but it's not always easy to see how it's changing. There are lots of things that could impact it's functioning on any given day including such things as sleep, what you consume, exercise and meditation. This test has the ability to distinguish differences between when you engage in these things and when you don't and how it impacts your brain health.
The science behind the Brain Gauge is extensive and validated by over 50 years of clinical studies. It also works great in conjunction with IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback because over the corse of your treatment it allows you to see how your brain health is improving.
