    About

Hope and Healing Family Counseling is committed to helping all people, from all walks and stages of life, find hope and healing. I provide counseling from a Christian perspective and love helping others incorporate their faith into their healing journey. I do this with confidentiality, professionalism and compassion. Non-Christians and non-religious clients also feel safe, welcome and accepted. I do not seek to impose my beliefs upon others, but I do recognize that my beliefs impact and shape my work with clients. Ultimately, it is my goal to see clients living out balanced and healthy lives — emotionally, spiritually and physically.

Life can be messy and hard. It can also be beautiful, redemptive, and healing. I believe that counseling can be a vital part of our personal growth in our life journey in this process of reflection, healing, and growth. One of my favorite Scriptures is found in Isaiah 61:3, “to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes.” I believe that in our ashes and our pain, God can redeem and create something beautiful.

I specialize in working with high achievers struggling with anxiety or relationship issues.  I’m passionate about getting to the “root” of issues.  I’m Certified in Neuropsychotherapy which is basically using brain science to come up with practical ways to help your brain heal, instead of only focusing on the symptoms you are struggling with.

I graduated from Grace College and Theological Seminary with a MA in Counseling. I’ve been a licensed counselor since 2008. I’ve worked with all ages in a wide range of settings. I’m passionate about helping people see that there is hope. I use evidence based practices in my office to help people reach their goals. My desire is to create a safe environment for you to have the space to heal. I believe our past experiences do not define us, but they do have an effect on how we think, feel, and behave.

When not in the office, I can be found with my husband and son. I love to spend time fishing or reading a good book. I’m thankful for the life God has blessed me with.
